Schooner Races in Hubbards

Hubbards

Aug 9, 2016

The Nova Scotia Schooner Association had a great week racing out of Hubbards, with warm weather steady winds and lots of good natured competition. 14 schooners of various types and sizes participated. The 42’ Christina Lynn won five races for the overall championship, as well as winning the “Willa Creighton” trophy in the “Lady Skipper” race. After 14 years of trying the winds were just right for the heavy gaff rigged schooner.

Thanks to Rochelle at the NSSA for sending us some great pictures.
