Southern Straits Returns April 15-17, 2022

After a two-year COVID-19 hiatus, the West Vancouver Yacht Club will host the 52nd Southern Straits Sailing Race over the Easter weekend, with sailors once again hitting open water to navigate a course crisscrossing the Georgia Strait.

The event will feature short, medium and long course races ranging in length from 70 to 145 nautical miles, as sailors will test their skill while racing overnight in tricky spring conditions. There will also be an Inshore Course of approximately 20 miles, which will run during daylight hours this Good Friday. NOR and Registration are posted.

Strong Canadian Showing at 2023 Clagett

Thirty-one sailors competing at the 21^st C. Thomas Clagett, Jr. Memorial Clinic and Regatta have completed three days of racing which was preceded by a two-day coaching clinic.

BNI Challenge Regatta – August 24

Boxing Rock Race is a great success in perfect sailing conditions

The 2017 Boxing Rock Cup was sailed in Halifax Harbour on June 10 under perfect, no I mean PERFECT conditions! Sunshine, nice winds, and lots of heat made for a great event for the nearly 40 boats and 200+ sailors.
