Day 3 of Chester Race Week

Heading into the last day here at Chester Race Week, there are some very exciting races for first place in both Distance Divisions and the Bravo 1 Division. Yesterday’s weather brought in cloud and sun, but very light winds, which some of the fleet found to be very challenging. However, the leaders always seem to rise to the top. Results heading in the final day of racing have many boats vying neck and neck for trophies and bragging rights.

Transat Québec Saint-Malo Off to an Exciting Start: Next Stop Saint-Malo

Sunday July 10th at 1:00 p.m. the starting flag was raised for the 9th edition of the Transat Québec Saint-Malo race. Four Multi50 yachts were the first to cross the starting line at the foot of the Plains of Abraham.

Sail Canada International Racing Roundup

Carlos Charabati from Montreal earned 6th (of 287 competitors) at the 2023 ILCA 4 Youth World Championships held until today in Greece. This is the best Canadian performance at this competition or Laser 4.7 Youth World Championships since at least 2005.

With just under a week before the start on Monday, the Caribbean 600 crew list includes 34 Canadians sailing on seven different boats including three boats racing under Canadian flag.

A Sailor’s View of PHRF – Part 3, It’s Time PHRF Matures

In my opinion, now is the time that these smaller rating stations of the Great Lakes allow Mid-West PHRF to expand and become the ‘head-office’ for the area. Regardless of whether a station makes the move and joins with MW-PHRF or not, each of the PHRF Stations of the region need to adopt.
