With less than one year to the next Olympic Games, our Canadian Sailors are in pursuit to qualify the nation for space on the starting lines of the Paris 2024 Sailing Events. At this time, Canada is already celebrating Sarah Douglas’ exemplary efforts at the Sailing World Championships.
The European portion of SailGP Season 4 got underway this weekend in Saint-Tropez, France. Having hit record breaking speeds last year on the Côte d’Azur, Phil Robertson and the Canadians were looking forward to this weekend of racing, but things did not turn out as hoped.

Nomination forms can be filled online through Sail Canada’s Rolex Sailor of the Year Award page on Sail Canada’s website. Nominees will be individuals who, since September 15, 2022, have shown a significant involvement in activities which provided global recognition to Canadian sailing and Sail Canada.

As we have reported, Severn II, a historic 8-Metre racing boat was involved in a collision during a recent race on Lake Ontario. The boat sank almost immediately – fortunately no-one was injured.
