Eight Bells for Alexander James McAuley.
Alex passed away on January 7, 2021 at 88 years of age. He will be remembered by the sailing community for his enthusiastic involvement as a long time member of the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club and Past Rear Commodore. As a Certified International Judge and Umpire, Alex and Audrey enjoyed traveling and being involved in regattas around the globe.
Canadian team Olympic trials postponed….again
The Sail Canada Olympic Selection Committee recently informed the Canadian Sailing Team and the Canadian Development Squad that the second and final leg of the Olympic trials has been changed.
Alex Thomson drops out of the Vendée Globe
November 28, 2020. After incurring damage to the starboard rudder of his boat, British sailor Alex Thomson has ceased racing in the Vendée Globe and is now sailing his boat towards Cape Town.
