LORC finally fires the gun

LORC EYC

Sept 10, 2020

Like most everything else, the LORC (lake Ontario Racing Council), which incorporates several hundred boats from nearly 20 clubs on the western end of Lake Ontario, had canceled the bulk of its season. But finally, on August 29, the EYC (Etobicoke Yacht Club) Open was run with a proper fleet.

LORC EYCBig breeze and waves made for some exciting and challenging racing with winds building all day from 12 knots up to well over 20 knots by race 3. With no social component to 2020 LORC events it was all about the sailing and this year’s EYC Open did not disappoint!
