Nick Moloney Joins Canada Ocean Racing for October’s 2023 Transat Jacques Vabre

In 2028, Scott Shawyer will be the only Canadian to compete in the Vendée Globe. In the meantime, Scott and his co-skipper Nick are qualifying and training by competing in one of the biggest ocean race this year: The Transat Jacques Vabre. With less than two months till the race start, Moloney, a three-times circumnavigator, returns to offshore sailing alongside Shawyer in the upcoming 2023 Transat Jacques Vabre double handed offshore yacht race from France to Martinique which starts from the port of Le Harve on October 29th

Australian, Nick Moloney, is a two-time America’s cup sailor, as well has having raced around the world three times in the world’s most iconic races. He is also the holder of over fifteen world sailing speed and endurance records.

Scott Shawyer, a lifelong sailor, and athlete is working non-stop to ready his team and add to his personal long-distance sailing skills, engaging the Alex Thomson Racing Team for insight and support. On top of his sailing passion, Scott has trekked to the North Pole raising over five hundred thousand dollars for various charities and as an accomplished downhill ski racer is a member of the Canadian Masters Alpine Team.
