The Charlottetown Yacht Club in partnership with title sponsor EZ DOCK is excited to announce that Charlottetown Race Week 2023 will be taking place on Thursday, July 13th – Saturday, July 15th, 2023.

Registration for Charlottetown Race Week 2023 is now open for one design and PHRF racing. After a banner year in 2022, attracting 36 boats and crews, with 18 visiting crews, CRW 2023 is planning to continue growing the number of visiting and local participants. The organizing committee plans on having a PHRF Fleet, Etchells fleet, J/29 fleet, Farr 30 fleet, and J/70 fleet.

The CRW organizing committee is proud to announce Andreas Josenhans as this year’s Race Officer. Josenhans was a member of the youngest of the Olympic sailing crews at the Montreal 1976 Olympics, with fellow sailors Glen Dexter and Sandy MacMillan. The team placed 8th. The team went on to become the World Class Soling Champions in 1977 and 1980. Andreas Josenhans was a crew member on America 3, winning the America’s Cup in 1992. He was also a member of the Young America crew in 1995. (See Mark Lammens on Glory Days, in this issue).
