Artist and musician, Alexandra discovered sailing two years ago. After sailing a few times on keelboats, the wind carried her towards the ILCA. She will then join the CVDM competition team. Committed and passionate, the young athlete aims to progress and improve, while sharing this great passion that is sailing.

Cailem has been sailing since the age of 8. He started the regatta in an Optimist, then joined the HYC C420 Team. At only 15 years old, he earns a spot on the Canadian Junior Sailing Team. Now 17 years old and still on the Team, his goal is to qualify for the World Sailing World Juniors. Cailem will compete in the ILCA 6 Junior World Championship this summer.

Antonin started sailing at the age of 10, in an Optimist, at CVDM. After several summers of participation in youth courses, still at CVDM, he joined their competition team in 2018. Now in ILCA 6, he would like to carve out, among other things, a place in the Gold fleet in Cork for the summer 2022.

Francis began sailing at the age of 10 and competing at the age of 13 at the CVDM in an Optimist then moved to ILCA 6. Aged 18, he now races in ILCA 7 and is aiming for a podium at the 2022 Canada Games as well as a TOP 10 at the next North American. A seasoned athlete, he dreams of participating in the 2028 Games.

Jacob started sailing at the age of 8 in an Optimist and joined the Deux Montagnes Sailing Club racing team at 12 years old. Also at CVDM, Jacob participated in and won several regattas such as the Qc Championship and Fruit Bowl. In the short term, he hopes to join the Canadian youth sailing team with the ultimate dream of participating in the Olympics!

Bianca started sailing at the age of 7 at the Yacht-Club Royal Saint-Laurent. Prior to moving into the C420, she competed with her club’s Optimist racing team. She now sails a 29er with Julia Capolicchio, and she is training with the goal of competing in the 2022 Canada Summer Games.

Cameron sails a 49er with his brother, Alec, their goal: the 2024 Olympics in Paris. He started sailing at the age of 10 at the PCYC in a C420 before the 49er. 3rd at the 2017 Canada Games, 2nd at the Canadian, and 2nd at the North American, the siblings sail in several major competitions. In 2022, they will continue to be training partners of the Canadian Team and will race at several World Cups.

Mathéo made his sailing debut as a little pirate at the age of 6 at the CVDM! Following an internship in Martinique, he was invited to be part of the CVDM competition team. In 2021, he finished 2nd overall in Quebec for 2022, his goal is to qualify for an international level regatta.

James made his debut in kitesurfing at 9 years old, foiling at 14 years old and learning to race in kitefoil at 18 years old. Today, James trains daily and accumulates racing experience in order to achieve high performance in the world of racing.
