One-Design K: Peter Van Rossem’s Team Wins Bronze at 2025 Shark Worlds

Peter Van Rossem and his crew members Josh Wilby and Matt Fair (Kingston Yacht Club) who won the bronze medal at the 2025 Shark World Championships held May 10-16 May in Altmünster, Austria.

1489 Aker, Harvey, Mitchell

A strong showing of 11 Canadian teams took part in the competition, including Graham Hones, Martin Shaw and Stephen Jones from the National Yacht Club, Peter Aker (Bay of Quinte Yacht Club), Nancy Harvey and Jeff Mitchell (Burlington Sailing and Boating Club), as well as John Brunt (NYC), Rod Gardner and David Deboy (NOLSC) who took the 4th, 5th and 6th place respectively.

The Shark remains incredibly popular in northern Europe – 38 teams took part in the event. Full results here
