The 2023 Melges 15 Winter Series gets underway January 7 in Jensen Beach, FL. More than 70 Melges 15s have registered for the first event of the 2023 Winter Series making it the largest class event to date.

Toronto’s Sarah Douglas qualified a spot for Canada in ILCA 6 at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the first one in sailing for the country, while finishing in 24th position overall at the 2023 Sailing World Championships, held until Sunday in The Hague, Netherlands.

Last week, the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) and Sail Canada announced the nine-member team nominated to represent Team Canada in sailing at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games this summer. The sailors come from across Canada and belong to many sailing clubs.
The Spring Thaw Luncheon had been a part of the season for GTA boaters for many years until the passing of its founder and key organizer, Marjorie Patterson. The Luncheon’s goal was to celebrate boating and importantly as a fundraiser for boating causes including Toronto Brigantine and OSA’s BOOM Program.
On November 15, 2022, Brent Hughes and Alexandra Cox generously donated Fast Lane Fever (hull #67) in Pickering, Ontario, to “The Broad Reach Foundation”, a Toronto-based not for profit that introduces inner city kids and youth to sailing.
May 1, 2024 At the last SailGP event in Christchurch NZ, the Canadian boat had three collisions and a number of injuries. It was mayhem as the video shows.
