Phil Robertson and the Canada SailGP Team have bounced back from disappointment in Halifax this weekend at the Mubadala New York Grand Prix finishing top of the leaderboard in the fleet races. In the finale, the Canadians couldn’t hold off the NZ Team finishing second overall and moving two places up the season four leaderboard.

Leading the fleet after day one, the team took a first and fourth in today’s fleet races to progress to the final. The heat was on as the Canadians lined up against Emirates GBR and the New Zealand SailGP Team, ahead of the predicted thunderstorms. Despite a strong start and consistent sailing, the Kiwis broke away and managed to take the win, while the Canadian finished second.

From here the fleet travels to San Francisco for the grand finale of season four in three weeks’ time.
