The 2024 Race Week will showcase the magic of a classic LOWISA experience, but LOWISA is not your typical sailing regatta. The event hosts a week-long sailing adventure where sailors can see a side of sailing beyond sport. LOWISA is where high-caliber racing meets passion, meets community.

Join Lake of the Woods International Sailing Association this summer as we celebrate the 58th annual LOWISA Race Week, a point-to-point sailing race that we consider the greatest freshwater sailing race on earth.

The Lake of the Woods International Sailing Association (LOWISA) offers a unique sailing experience, as boats of all sizes gather each year and race one another around just a few of the 14,000+ islands on Lake of the Woods.

Paralympic Sailing Team is Ready!

Only 2 days before the Paralympics kick off and the Canadians are well prepared! The sailing Canadian Paralympic Sailors team have arrived in Weymouth and had a few days to practice with their competition to get their boats completely tuned and ready to race. Team Leader Brian Todd sends in a report as of Sunday.

The rain stopped and the sun came out in Weymouth today, which set up for an excellent day of training. The Sonar, Skud and 2.4 all spent a full day on the water in one of the few remaining days to get the boat and rig tuned and ready for the Games.

Miss Supertest in Spotlight Again with Commemorative Stamps

The national unveiling of two stamps Monday, commemorating the three-peat Harmsworth Trophy win by Miss Supertest III, capped off a very successful celebratory weekend in Picton.

The Canadian hydroplane Miss Supertest III captured her third Harmsworth Trophy just kilometres away from the 50th anniversary show site of Loch Sloy Holdings (the former Camp Picton) which donated a hangar for the event.

Dignitaries in attendance included MP Prince Edward Hastings Daryl Kramp, MPP Prince Edward-Hastings Leona Dombrowsky, Prince Edward County Mayor Peter Mertens and members of county council.
