Kingston Delivers Tremendous Racing for Skiff Week!

Three skiff classes – 29ers, 505s and VX Ones – were treated to warm freshwater and dependable winds that CORK has become known for.

Over four days the Canadian Champions in the 29er class was settled after 15 races in a wind range of conditions. Taking top spots were:

1st place: Johanna Pickart & Rebecca Driscol;

2nd: Henry Sims & Ethan Thompson;

3rd: Hailey Nichols & Kat Lowe

Arriving for their Canadian championships, a two-day regatta, were the well-established 505 class along with a newer skiff class – VX Ones. The racers, wind, and weather came together over eight races.

SinC CORK Skiff Week 2 400With only one point separating 1st and 2nd, Alex Bowdler & John Ingalls triumphed over David Kirkpatrick & Sol Marini. In third spot was Peter Scanlan & John Dunlea. Top Canadian crew were perennial class leaders, Jeff Boyd and Martin ten Hove.
