The Canadian Collegiate National Team is a group of eight university students from across Canada all working together towards the 2024 FISU Worlds in Garda Italy. The team was formed by CICSA (Canadian Intercollegiate Sailing Association), our governing body for all Canadian Intercollegiate Sailing.

It was a dramatic season of racing this year in the Canadian Collegiate Sailing Circuit (CICSA), filled with tight racing, every wind and weather condition imaginable, camaraderie, and the overall national title being decided in the final regatta. The season follows the school year, wrapping up in spring.

Seasickness is the elephant on the boat that everyone is thinking about but trying to ignore. Dictionary.com defines seasickness as: “nausea and dizziness, sometimes accompanied by vomiting, resulting from the rocking or swaying motion of a vessel in which one is traveling at sea.”
May 1, 2024 At the last SailGP event in Christchurch NZ, the Canadian boat had three collisions and a number of injuries. It was mayhem as the video shows.
