The Great Lakes Laser Regatta is now a wrap! Congratulations to the 73 participants, making this the largest Master’s Laser event in Canada this year. Competition included the Great Lakes Master’s Championship as well as a Youth and Corinthian Class. Over seventy boats competed, and in addition to local entrants, there were entrants form across Canada, the US and Australia.

MusicianThe consensus among competitors was that regatta was a remarkable success. Yacht club members billeted a lot of the visiting entrants and there was a grand reception held Saturday night at the home of regatta chairman on the bay with about one hundred people in attendance.

Although light and variable conditions prevailed, five races were completed over two days.
