Officials: Sharpen Your Protest Hearing Skills!

SinC Sail Canada Protest Session

May 4, 2022

This Sail Canada course is designed to provide structured training on best practices for hearing protests. Participants will act as judges and will conduct hearings in small groups under the watchful eyes of Canada’s senior judges. Feedback will be provided to each group by the mentors, ensuring that these exercises will be highly educational.

This course is open to certified judges as well as to those interested in applying for certification. Practice protest experience may fulfill the protest experience requirement for certification as a Sail Canada judge.

Please have your copy of the 2021-2024 Racing Rules of Sailing handy. A review of Appendix M (1-4) will be an excellent preparation. There is no charge to attend.
