Violet Stafford Joins Ontario Sailing as Training Centre Development Coach

Ontario Sailing is delighted to announce that Violet Stafford has joined their staff as Training Centre Development Coach. Stafford, who most recently served as Lead Performance Coach for the Royal Canadian Yacht Club, brings over six years of experience coaching and developing youth programs on the high-performance pathway.

“I’m thrilled to join Ontario Sailing to support the next generation of high-performance sailors in Ontario,” Stafford said. “I’m excited to bring my coaching experience and enthusiasm for mentoring coaches and athletes to this new role.”

Stafford will support the Ontario Sailing Team and the enhancement of club-level programs through integrated training opportunities, athlete talent identification, and mentorship of club coaches. She joins Ontario Sailing Team Coach Chris Hewson as the second member of Ontario Sailing’s coaching staff.
